Take Hwy 20 to Jesup (exit 245).  Take a left onto 220th Street heading into Jesup.  Take a right onto Main St. and then a left on Young Street.  Go about a 1/2 a block to 7th St.  There is a parking lot behind the property on 7th Street.  Enter door #4.

4:15 - 5:00 Presentation from Hawkeye Tool & Die
                     Lyle from Hawkeye Tool & Die will share their strategy in hiring qualified candidates.  As we face
                   the talent crunch in the manufacturing industry, Lyle suggests that we need to focus on marketing
                   and educational training, tuition subsidizing, and retention measures for students in the field.  Lyle
                   serves on the Board of Hawkeye Community College for the Tool & Die and CNC program.  His
                   company sponsors students of HCC by offering hands-on, paid training.  This allows students to
                   have a true understanding of the field and encourages retention in the program.  In return, Hawkeye
                   Tool & Die is hoping to hire some of the students they have trained.  Lyle will share legislative
                   measures the he feels are critical to the growth of the manufacturing business in the state of Iowa,
                   and we will have an open discussion on best practices that other business are incorporating into
                   their hiring process.
