High School students from over 30
area schools were invited to attend the Manufacturers Expo to expose them
to manufacturing and the various employment opportunities that are
available right here in the Cedar Valley.
Respected business leaders from the manufacturing community took part in a panel discussion and shared their thoughts and experiences with the students and gave them insight as to what job skills they are looking for. The Panel discussion was kicked off by Bob Justis, Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce President and Bill Dotzler, IA State Representative. The panel members were: Martin Timm, GMT Corporation, Dean Bierschenk, Universal Industries, John Roloff, John Deere Waterloo Works, and Kevin Harberts, Iowa Metal Spinners. 229 area High School students attended this year's event! |
